Set of 5 soft black Mukden Type overprints FT44 see Mukden Types.

This may be the earliest recorded cover. Dr George T. Luzitano in The Post-war Provisional Issues of North East China, MLO Volume 1 lists the earliest cover as 13th May 1947, the above is 12 days earlier than his example.

These are the only overprints known to exist for this village.

These stamps have been identified by using Volume II of the Stamp Catalogue of China by Shui-Hon Chan and the four booklet guide The Local Overprinted Stamps of Manchuria 1945-7 by Allen D Kerr (published 1978 and now out of print). Both works are essential for anyone delving seriously into this subject.
